A big thank you to the 148 archers who attend our open shoot on Sunday 19th April.
The weather was certainly somewhat kinder than our last open shoot back in October 2025. Not a drop of rain, blue skies, very mild, beatiful sunshine and all the bluebells out in full bloom in the woodland.
Visiting archers were treated to a course of 36 3D’s which was a challenge with deceiving but ultimately hitable shots. Thanks to our course layers; Steve and Pug for one side and Martin and Roy for the other, for doing such a great job.
Judging by your feedback and comments, you certainly enjoyed the course. Thanks also to all the SVYF members who help make these open shoot possible.
Thanks to the catreing team – eveyone one seemd to enjoy the offerings with very little left over at the end of the day.
Shoot Secretary, Martin Cane, got proceedings underway just before 10am with everyone on their pegs and shooting by 10.15.
The day ran smoothly with our usual figure of eight layout. There were several new 3D’s out of the course so we hope you all enjoyed shooting them.
The shoot finsihed with a raffle (thanks to all those who purchased tickets) and prize giving before everyone got on their way.
